Alice’s challenge raised £2,253.02 for St. John Ambulance Charity

Dean Forge staff congratulate Alice Chew as she raises a whopping £2,253.02.  Alice presented the cheque to June Pierce, Area President of South Devon St.John Ambulance.  June said, “the donation is a significant sum and will be greatly appreciated by not just the local team, but by the charity as a whole, so thank you!”

Alice, a Cardiff University student, bravely ran in the London Marathon between studies, and organised other events to raise the final total.  Alice said: “It was tough, but with my family supporting me at the roadside it was all worth it.  The St.John Ambulance race support team really inspired me to complete the race

The team at Dean Forge, Buckfastleigh, also congratulated Robert Richardson, winner of a new Dartmoor 5 Wood Burning Stove in the charity prize draw.

Mr Richardson, the delighted winner of a wood burner said, “I am really happy as we are currently renovating an old Dartmoor Cottage and to own a new Dartmoor 5 wood burning stove will make it just perfect”.
